Today is my birthday...hell yeah,i'm turning 25. one quarter century...that's a lot really,i'm getting old too old... my 24s were probably the worst age ever,i hope that my 25 will be better. really.

Weare the champions. of the world. oh yeah. is there anything else to say? i don't think so, kisses to everybody. we are the best!!! Bye bye zizou...what a bad way to end a great career.

In 2 hours the match that will decide which team is the best in the world will begin. and it will be us,or France.No one at the beginning tought either of us was gonna be there... everyone tought the champion was gonna be brasil,argentina,germany... this is already a success for both of us... but osing now will be much worse than losing at the beginning. now we have hope, we won against everything and everyone, and all the troubles (next week we'll know the sentence of the process against 4 of the main italian teams,including milan and juventus, where half of our players play...)just made helped create the "team spirit " and made the group united. we only have one thing on our side.the "12 years rule"... in 1970 we played the final of the world cup,and we lost it. in 1982 we won it;in 1994 we lost it again, so this is supposed to be the time for us to win again. this also mean that we'll play the next final in 2018,and win another world cup in 2030...but btw tomorrow all this will be over,this wonderful world cup that made us all dream will be just a memory to keep in our hearts. and that "poo popopo po poo po" will be just a white stripe's song again, not an anthem as it has became here...
On another hand, a couple of days ago i heard a new that really shocked me. a girl from the town i live in,aged 20, hanged herself to a tree near the lake we have here. she was found just the next morning. i really couldn't believe it...i didn't know this girl but by sight, so i have no idea of why she did this, but just thinking that a girl of that age can make this decision, take a rope, leave home to go in a wood and kill herself like that realy makes me shiver.this is such a bad period...last week the father of a guy i know, we've been in the same class a school for a year and played basketball together for several years,died... it's the second time this happens in a month. these things really scare me...

Tonight Italy will play against Germany for the access to the final of soccer world cup...it's gonna be hard, but i'm quite optimistic... i hope we'll kick their asses even more cuz lately the german newspaper started offending,insulting all italians, with all the worst stereothypes you can imagine... no one here ever said anything like that about german people, so this is so stupid... and even more cuz it looks like that only the bild and die spiegel think it like that, supporters seem to be much more fair and intellingent..
and tomorrow i have a really important exam... so much about my summer will be decided in these days. If I could choose between tonight's match and tomorrow's exam...i don't know what would i choose. seriously.

Brasil and England are out...could it be any better?and i had predicted all this,oh yeah! Le Roy Zidane showed to the Brasilian guys how to really play soccer...i guess that ronaldinho,ronaldo,adriano & friends have learned to be humble...i hope so.I didn't see any of them in yesterday's match,and in the whole tournament they didn't do much more...

Yesterday night's match was great... Italy finally showed its full potential!3-0 and now we're among the 4 best team in the world... and we don't want to stop here! Italy has the best goalkeeper in the world and the best defence (the only goal we had against was an own goal of one of our defenders...);we scored 9 goals with 8 different players, we've been getting better match after match...we've been quite lucky,which is always a good thing...And all this in a really different situation, after the scandal that hit the italian soccer federation, and its referees...and now a guy who played in juventus till last year tried to kill himself...We've already done a great thing so far, no one would have ever said that we were gonna be one of the semifinalists..

My first round of predictions didn't go too bad (i only missed Portugal, Ukraine but i said that it was gonna end after penalties and so happened, and Brasil but i said Ghana cuz saying Brasil would have been too easy...)so i'll try again, at least to keep my journal alive.

Argentina-Germany: This may be the best match of the whole tournament. Both of the teams have everything to be the champions...I was quite surprised to see how difficult it was for Argentina to beat Mexico, but they're still my favourites.. I'm quite sure there will be many goals, cuz both the defences aren't as good as the offences. 3-2 argentina

Italy-Ukraine: No comment as usual...

England-Portugal: England is the team that's playing the worst soccer,even worse than italy.and so far they didn't meet any real team. Portugal will be missing two key midfielders, but i believe in them,they have a good defence while english strikers really suck... rooney is totally out of shape, owen is injuried, crouch is a joke... 1-0 portugal

Brasil-France: Again,i'm against brasil. France is an old team but defeating Spain they showed that their experience can make the difference. they know how to stop Brasil players, while ronaldinho and adriano are playing really bad, ronaldo seems to be getting in shape, the only one who could really make the difference in Kaka. I hate to say this,but allez le bleus! france 2-1

The world cup soccer is starting to get interesting,so here are my predictions for this eights finals (is that the way you call em?):

Germany-Sweden: Sweden didn't impress me much, Ibra seems out of shape,as he's been the whole year, while Germany has a lot to demnostrate and has been playing really well...on the offensive side. so i say...germany 3-1

Argentina-Mexico: Argentina has been playing the best soccer so far, they're full of talent, as for Germany the defense is not as good as the offense, but this match will be quite easy for them. 2-0?

Italia-Australia: I'm not gonna say anything about italy!We're the most difficult team to predict,we could win against any single team but also lose...i would have preferred to face brasil. not kidding.

Switzerland-Ucraina: Switzerland is one of the surprises so far, they play quite well,this is one of the best-balanced matches...i say switzerland.but only after the OT or penalties.

England-Ecuador:This isn't gonna be as easy as it seems for England... But they'll make it anyway. 2-1

Portugal-Holland:Portugal doesn't have a good stryker, Deco doesn't play cuz Felipao doesn't like him, Figo is old, while Holland is a young team, very talented. 2-0 Holland

Brasil-Ghana:This may be the surprise. On my opinion, Brasil won't go over the quarter finals. Apart from Kaka and Ronaldinho, the other best players are old (Emerson, Cafù, Roberto Carlos...), overweight (Adriano & el gordo Ronaldo), while Ghana players run a lot, have good technique and a lot of enthusiasm...Ghana 3-2!?!?!?!?!

Spain-France: France has been a great delusion once again. They're old, boring (more boring than italy...),they were in a really easy series but managed to get qualified just at the last match,and as second. If Trezeguet will play they'll have just a bit of possibilities, but Spain is playing great, never did anything important in the soccer world cup and this one may be their year. Spain 3-1
